1st annual Mua t-shirt design contest!

t-shirtAll you creatives have some fun and possibly win some cash and other goodies! Turn in your drawings for a Mua t-shirt idea in person or  to info@muaoakland.com by 5pm on First Friday 07.03.09. Make sure  your name and contact info is attached. At midnight we’ll pick 1  who will win $300 and 2  who will win $100 and others will get other fun stuff for honorable mention. If you enter and win, you are agreeing that is OK that we print your image on a t-shirt. Stating the obvious here, but just want to be clear! Looking forward to what you all come up with. It’s that time again! Oakland Art Murmur is a group of galleries in Oakland that have openings the first Friday of every month. This month Mua is participating with “Painting Now, 2009” produced by Petra Bibeau of  Maniac Gallery featuring artists Justin Olerud, Jessica Schmidt, Kara Joslyn, Georgia Carter and Erin Allen. Spray-painted letters that spell out “Mua” on an unassuming building near Oakland’s auto row are the only sign that you’re about to stumble into Uptown’s latest happening nightspot. Smaller letters above that announce “lunch, dinner” and, most important, “bar,” further hint at the fun that awaits.
